Back from Battle Newspaper Article

After writing my book, it seems as though I am not done.  When given the opportunity, I wrote again for the Contra Costa Times and the Mercury News.  The journalist had been asked to write about the loss of soldiers from the San Francisco Bay Area (covering a population of nearly 7 million).  He decided that it was time to hear the stories from the living veterans, hence the ongoing column:  “Back from Battle.”

I wanted to give the public an idea of what it is like to have a flashback and to see my sadness from a woman veteran’s perspective.  The time for flag waving is short but the struggles of a Veteran are life long.  Read my article and the other veterans @

I was allowed to plug this veterans book project in the paper.
